| Customer Reviews:
Pity the English Horn! November 8, 2007 C. Chandler (Lexington, MA, USA) It turns out that recordings of solos by the English Horn are very scarce. I took a chance on this one, because I needed something that would let my music-appreciation class hear what an English Horn sounds like.
Unfortunately, this recording sounds like what you'd get if a rank amateur was getting the audio feed from an over-used 78-rpm recording. Noisy; scratchy; fading in and out -- the soloist and accompanist played well enough, but the audio quality was pathetic.
I managed to play the class one number on this CD, but I shall not be using it again.
